Changes at the School of Inner Health

First, an apology for not communicating to everyone about what’s going on with the School of Inner Health. We have had lots of BIG changes, and we are still not out of that transition, which is the reason for my silence. I wanted to wait until I could say “Everything is okay…change happens, but we are stronger for it.” Of course, that is all true – If we narrow down to the moment, EVERYTHING IS OKAY. Change is happening at every level, and we will all be stronger for it.  At the same time, we are still in an uncertain time and place for the school, and that is a scary place for me to be seen, thus the silence.

However, the consequences of not communicating include less support and the ability for rumors to swirl…so without further delay, let me set the record straight:

We found out in late June that we couldn’t continue to hold classes at our Southpointe Court location because of some safety and liability issues, so we have postponed all classes except for our ongoing Craniosacral class until we have a new location.

For those who don’t know, I live in Louisville, Colorado, about 95 miles north of our Colorado Springs location. From the beginning of the School of Inner Health coming into our lives, my husband and daughter and I have been sitting with the question of whether the School would move north or our family would move south, knowing that one or the other had to happen eventually. It has been a challenging tension field to hold and wait to see which way the scale tipped.

When we unexpectedly found ourselves needing to move in June, I didn’t at first recognize that the moment for that decision had arrived. It took my husband Chris pointing it out. There was a great rush of relief for our family in the possibility of my not being away so much. And once I felt my relief, I knew the answer: The school is moving north.

We thought we had found a location, but that fell through. At this time, the School of Inner Health does not have a home. We are actively looking in the Greater Denver area, primarily along the I-25 corridor north of Hampden or in the Lakewood / Wheat Ridge / Arvada area. If anyone has any leads, please pass them on! We are looking to rent or for a lease-to-buy situation.

We hope to settle somewhere by the time the leaves turn yellow down here on the Plains. More than anything, I hope to grow deep roots and build a sustainable future for the School of Inner Health. I have loved spending time in the Springs and getting to know many of you. I planned to stay in the Pikes Peak Region for several more years, but something else had a bigger plan. I realize now that it is easier to move before roots have fully taken hold. And I realize how challenged I was by the distance and the time away from my family. Moving north is a decision I made quickly but not lightly.

I hope that those of you in the Springs will travel north for our classes. We will continue to offer discounts to SIH students and graduates to support this possibility.

UPCOMING CLASS DATES:  It is our hope that we will have a new location by October, with the plan to offer our Biodynamic Principles course October 13-15 and our Neurodynamics course October 25-29. Additionally, we will offer our One-Day Intro to Craniosacral Biodynamics course on November 18. Module 1 of our next Craniosacral Certification training will be offered twice, in December 2017 and February 2018, with ongoing modules starting in the Spring of 2018. See our website (www.schoolofinnerhealth.org) for dates, pricing and registration information.

Thank you for your patience and support in this time of change. Feel free to call or email if you would like more details or to share your feelings about these changes.

With Gratitude,

Margaret Rosenau
