What is a Biodynamic Approach to Healing?

The School of Inner Health is unique in offering both Biodynamic Craniosacral and Biodynamic Lymphatic Trainings.  Our teachers have been discussing the intersection of these two disciplines and how to expand on what they both offer in future courses. There will always be more to say about biodynamics, just as there is always more to say about life.

A biodynamic approach amplifies the health. Though health is always present, it can be obscured by overwhelming challenge. A skilled biodynamic practitioner catalyzes the healing process with their presence and attention and amplifies the health that is deeper and wider than the space that the challenge inhabits. When the health is brought to the foreground, the challenge is held by it, supported to realign and resolve.

As every day brings a new and overwhelming news story recently, I am challenged to absorb the state of the world without getting overwhelmed by it, without losing sight of a deeper forces churning underneath and within each moment. The issues facing our world – poverty, racism, terrorism, fear — are so big and at a boiling point. As the temperature rises in the moment and our attention is captivated by horror and sorrow, may we each find, maintain and deepen our own inner health, may we reach a place within ourselves and in connection with those we love that is essentially untouched by these external events. And may we each find new and inspiring ways to be catalysts for others.

I often say that there’s not much left to do in this crazy magical world except be as beautiful as possible. I deeply believe it is a worthwhile and revolutionary endeavor to amplify health and focus on beauty in spite of the ugliness we may on any given day have to face internally or externally.

Blessings on your health,
